Product warm-up 2–4 weeks before the peak

What we do

We set aside a group of Q4-ready products and give it earlier exposure before Black Week or December.

Products qualify when they meet as many conditions as possible:

  • they belong to categories that matter in the store's Q4
  • stock availability is confirmed
  • price is stable or the promo policy is approved
  • product data and identifiers are correct
  • they carry a strong quality signal: revenue, ROAS, hero SKU, margin, AOV or micro-conversions
  • no operational risk: low stock, uncertain delivery, feed errors

Why

Campaigns that start at the peak learn at the most expensive time of the year. A warm-up builds signal history before CPCs climb.

Typical custom labels

  • Q4_WARMUP
  • BF_WARMUP
  • CHRISTMAS_WARMUP
Meta Ads

Warm-up product sets before Q4 peaks

What we do

We build separate sets for Black Week and December and launch them ahead of the peak campaigns.

Sets include products that:

  • matter for a specific Q4 window
  • are available with acceptable logistics
  • have approved creatives and promo messaging
  • carry a quality signal: revenue, margin, micro-conversions or hero / gift status

Why

Meta gathers engagement and a remarketing pool before the peak. Every day of delay in November costs more.

Typical custom labels

  • BF_WARMUP
  • CHRISTMAS_WARMUP
  • gift_warmup

FAQ

Common questions

When should a feed warm-up before Black Friday start?

Usually 2–4 weeks before the peak, in October or early November. Data Octopus tags Q4-ready products with a custom label, so a warm-up campaign can launch without rebuilding the feed.

Which products belong in the warm-up?

Available products with a stable price, correct data and at least one strong quality signal such as revenue, margin or micro-conversions. Leave out products with operational risk.

Is the warm-up segment the same for Google Ads and Meta Ads?

The criteria are similar, but Meta also needs ready creatives and separate sets for Black Week and December. Data Octopus can send different labels to both channels from one data source.

What if a product goes out of stock during the warm-up?

With daily feed updates it drops out of the segment automatically, so budget doesn't go to stock you can't sell at the peak.
