Data Octopus
Feed management for e-commerce

Better feeds. More effective product campaigns.

Ad platforms are becoming ever bigger black boxes. We know less and control less of how they work. What we can focus on is the structure and quality of our product data. Better data means better feeds, and better feeds mean more effective campaigns.

Questions and answers

Before you choose Data Octopus.

How is Data Octopus different from a regular feed tool?

A regular feed tool formats a product file for each channel, while planning and execution stay on your side. Data Octopus combines 50+ columns per product in one data model (store, GA4, Google Ads, Meta Ads, margin and BigQuery as its native data warehouse), segments products by sales, margin and ad performance, and versions feeds for each of 35 ad channels. It also delivers predefined strategies (Data Octopus Frameworks), RFM audience lists, product, brand and category performance reports, and Product Expert support instead of a plain help desk.

We already have a feed from our store. Why Data Octopus?

A store feed describes the offer: name, price, availability. It doesn't tell you which products earn money, which only cost money and which are growing. Data Octopus enriches the feed with sales, margin and ad data and adds custom labels, so you can split products across campaigns and budgets based on their results.

Which stores get the most value?

E-commerce businesses with broad catalogues, significant product-ad spend and data spread across many systems. Data Octopus is used by e-commerce directors and owners, PPC specialists, agencies, in-house teams and Enterprise companies. Value grows with the number of products, channels and markets: for a small catalogue Data Octopus costs more than simple feed-only tools, but for larger stores that want to work from strategies it is cheaper than competitors and self-built AI tools.

Which data sources can I connect?

Data Octopus has ready integrations with stores (including IdoSell, Shopify, PrestaShop and Shoper), product files, Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Meta Ads, Google Sheets, XML and JSON files, and BigQuery, the platform's native data warehouse, plus the sales channels and comparison sites it sends feeds to. Data refreshes automatically every day, so segments and labels reflect current results.

What are Data Octopus Frameworks?

Ready-made analysis and action playbooks, each with a clear goal and one label in the feed. Examples: rising and declining products, cost without revenue, too little budget per product, margin-level profitability, returns, new arrivals and cross-channel potential. Data Octopus assigns products to segments and updates them with the data; you decide how to use them in campaigns.

Can I build audience lists from customer data?

Yes. Data Octopus builds audience lists from store purchase data, for example by purchase value and frequency (RFM) or past high-value customers. Use them in Google Ads and Meta Ads campaigns to reach your most valuable customers and win back lapsed ones.

Do I need my own IT team?

No. Integrations with popular platforms work without coding, and our team helps configure Data Octopus and map your data. Only custom sources, such as in-house systems or data warehouses, may need extra technical arrangements.

Does Data Octopus replace an agency or PPC specialist?

No. Data Octopus provides data, segments and feeds that make agencies' and PPC specialists' work easier and faster. Agencies can repeat the same playbooks across clients, and a Product Expert goes beyond help-desk tickets, helping choose the strategy and implement it with the people running your campaigns.

Can we include margin and our own business priorities?

Yes. Data Octopus can use product margin, returns, stock levels and your own product attributes. Segmentation is then based on profit rather than revenue alone, and offer-selection rules match your business priorities.

How does Data Octopus help prepare for Q4?

Data Octopus offers a set of seasonal feed strategies for Q4: from warming up algorithms before the peak, through protecting margin and raising basket value, to closing purchase intent in short windows such as Black Friday or Christmas. Each strategy relies on data and feed labels, so it can be set up before the season.

Can we handle several markets in one solution?

Yes. In Data Octopus you can build feeds, segments and audience lists for many markets and currencies, with rules tuned to local results and strategy. This matters most for Enterprise companies and stores selling abroad.

What results do stores using Data Octopus achieve?

Stores mainly use Data Octopus to move budget from products that only generate cost to products that sell, and to unlock the potential of the whole catalogue. The usual effect is higher revenue and campaign profitability with controlled spend. We describe specific stores' results in our case studies.

How much work is on our side?

At the start we agree goals, data sources and scope. A Product Expert helps with implementation and, depending on the plan, with ongoing configuration, analysis and recommendations. Once running, data and labels refresh automatically, so your team focuses on decisions rather than data preparation.

How do you keep data secure?

Data in Data Octopus is stored in the European Union, in an isolated Google Cloud Platform environment, and encrypted (AES-256, TLS 1.3). It is never used to train external AI models and never leaves your account.

What does pricing depend on?

Data Octopus pricing depends on the plan, number of markets and add-ons. Plans differ in features and Product Expert support; current options are listed on the pricing page. Compared with feed-only tools, you also get strategies, reports and support you would otherwise have to build yourself.

Can I check the potential first?

Yes. Start with a free Product Audit: after you create an account and connect Google Ads, Data Octopus analyses your offer, splits products into revenue segments and shows where budget is wasted. You can also book a demo, where we show the platform on examples from your industry.
