Revenue Segment

This field assigns labels to products according to the amount of revenue they generate in Google Analytics 4.

Field description

This field assigns labels to products according to the amount of revenue they generate in Google Analytics 4.

Includes 4 labels: no_revenue, high, mid, and low. These labels are calculated based on the ga4_item_netto_revenue parameter.

It allows you to identify the products with the highest and lowest revenue, enabling more informed decisions about a product's placement in a campaign and its optimization strategy.

Detailed description

  • no_revenue: Products with ga4_item_netto_revenue equal to 0 receive the no_revenue label.

high, mid, low: For products that generate revenue (i.e. ga4_item_netto_revenue > 0), revenue values are sorted in descending order. The sorted list is then divided into three equal parts:

  • high: The top third of products with the highest revenue receive the high label. Revenue Rank
  • mid: The middle third of products with moderate revenue receive the mid label.
  • low: The bottom third of products with the lowest revenue receive the low label.

How can I use this?

You can assign this field as a custom label in your product feed. Here are some practical uses:

  • It allows you to identify the products with the highest and lowest revenue, enabling more informed decisions about a product's placement in a campaign and its optimization strategy. Focusing marketing activities on the most profitable items.
  • Allocate a larger share of your budget to products with the high label to maximize revenue. Consider how to increase their revenue while protecting them against a potential decline resulting from investment in the other Revenu Segment segments.
  • Focus on products with the mid and low labels to improve their visibility and appeal, which may improve their rankings. It may be worth changing their optimizer or budget, or segmenting them further using other labels.
  • Products that account for a large share of sales may also sell well in other advertising systems, such as marketplaces, price comparison sites, and marketing automation systems. Consider preparing an additional feed.

Remember to monitor and update these labels regularly to help you continually optimize your campaigns and improve the efficiency of your advertising spend.
